As far back as I can remember I was always drawing. I would draw pictures of everything. I would use pencil, pen and ink, brushes, watercolor paints, chalks and anything I could get my hands on.
When I say pen and ink that is what I mean. We did not have ballpens when I went to school. We had inkwells which were filled by an ink monitor and pen points that fit in wood handles.
I use color as color. Today pastels, tomorrow oils and the next day watercolors. Whatever suits my feelings for the picture I am doing.
Sometimes ideas pop out of my head and I work on these ideas. Sometimes the ideas are abstract or surreal, and then they may be very real.
I also work from predetermined constructions or ideas. This kind of work takes a different kind of planning with a more restrictive way or working.
However, just to paint, whether it be restrictive or free flowing color across a canvas or paper, draws me into another world in which I seek new roads and search for new dreams and ways to achieve my mind's pictures.
